Twilight Limousines Profile from Coast to Country Weddings

Twilight Limousines has been running for the last few years covering Engagements, Weddings, School Balls, Cooperate Events, Birthdays, Airport Transfers etc and covers most areas of WA, which can include Perth Mandurah, Bunbury, Busselton, Dunsborough, Margaret River, Albany and surrounding areas. Since May of 2010 the business went under new management where both Karen and Gavin, (who have been together for over 25 years) decided it was time to venture out and have some fun. So after almost a year of learning and researching they decided to take the plunge and have not looked back since.

We now have two drivers who have been trained in safe driving and customer service and with our focus being fixed on customer service we will do all we can to ensure those on board our vehicles receive the very best of service. One of the main reason we do this is because the enjoyment we get being around people who are happy and enjoying their time. We bounce off the enjoyment being experienced in the vehicles and love seeing new brides and being a part of their special day.

Regions Serviced: Perth, Mandurah, Bunbury, Busselton, Dunsborough, Margaret River etc

Fun & Patient

I can’t live without.

My lovely wife Karen and our kids (Darrell, Emma, Kerry & Tiana)

Funniest limo experience.

Collecting some school kids for a school ball in Mandurah, upon arriving one couple had left their tickets home, which was ok as we had arrived 1/2hr earlier than expected. Finally we get the guys in and start to head to Perth, just after the Safety Bay off ramp a couple of the passengers advised they were in need for a toilet break. As we had been advised we needed to get to the Perth function room prior to 7:30 that night because the doors would be closed and locked after that time we reminded the group who thought long and hard about it. A couple of young ladies had then advised they would not be able to hold on and would really be appreciative if we did in fact stop “anywhere” however by the time their response was received we had missed the Safety Bay off ramp.

So my co driver and I got off the freeway at the next ramp completed a turn following the road back on to the freeway in readiness to get off at the Safety Bay off ramp as we knew there was a garage not far from the off ramp. At this stage a few more had then advised they would also need the break and couple not wait too long, with the confusion going on in the cockpit along with the GPS system we again missed the off ramp and needed to again turn around. At this stage even the ladies would keen to “just pull over” however after an additional 7km’s we got off at the right off ramp and pulled in the garage up the road.

I opened the door to watch nine out of the ten passengers alight from the vehicle, during this time the co driver and I setup the playstation for a sign along for the rest of the trip to Perth. Everyone who had alighted hurried up and returned reasonably quick so we were back on the road with more time to spare than I first thought, so in the end we did manage to get to the function hall with some 10mins to spare without rushing and still having fun.

Preparation – What do you do before you take the car to a wedding?

If we heading to a location we don’t know well and if it is required, we would look at completing a pre run prior to the day allowing our drivers to become familiar with the area before the job day. At the start of the week prior to the wedding date we would normally contact the bride to ensure all details are the same as originally planned, and then a few days prior to the wedding date our team would ensure all glassware is cleaned, music checked, we have fresh water on board, the GSP system is set & tested.

We would then review the documentation and manual maps and place those in the car. Complete a prestart check of the vehicle checking all oils, fluid levels, tyres and there pressures etc. On the special day we would be up around 6AM ensuring the car is washed, dried and polished, we would then complete a full clean and recheck on the inside followed by another prestart check, only this time it would also include all lights, music etc. We would then head out to ensure the vehicle is full as well as securing the ice we will need for all iceboxes, if ordered we would also add the ribbon and teddies.

Once this has all been completed we ensure both drivers are present, well presented and set to go. We would then head off to collect the bride allowing an arrival time much earlier than the booked time as we feel this is one extra concern the bride won’t have to think about on the day, knowing the car is there.

Your advice when it comes to wedding transport?

From my learning experience in recent months I have found that generally the transport and flower's are not thought about until a few months prior to the wedding date. This has lead to couple having to look at transport they really didn’t wish to use as the preferred option has already been booked. As an example I can advise that we have a number of enquiries that expand beyond 2011 and we also have a number of booking secured in 2011 including June, October and December.

So our advise would be, don’t leave it too late when looking at your transport needs.
