Our Friends Finally Marry 23/10/2010

Friends of ours had their special day Saturday 23rd and we not only got to be involved we also provided the Twilight Limousine for the day. Earlier in the morning our daughter Emma headed over to look after all the girls by doing their hair for them, call me bias if you like but Emma did a magical job and all the ladies looked fantastic. As always Ashleigh looked amazing and we have no doubt Daniel knows how lucky he is. Karen and I headed over later in the day to pick up the ladies and Ashleigh’s father Shane who as mentioned looked fantastic, as usual we arrived early as this always allows the bride to relax a tad more with one less thing to worry about, mind you Ashleigh did look calm at this point.

Ashleigh was also ready early and was looking forward to the trip to Kings Park however nerves were now starting to creep in. As we left, a few drivers passing were tooting their horns and waving which was good to see. We took the trip right through the middle of the city heading towards Kings Park, as I was advised earlier in the day Ashleigh was looking to arrive approx 15 minutes late I advised that our scheduled arrival time was showing us being five minutes late I asked if she would like us to drag the trip out a bit I was quickly told "no let’s get this over with cause right now I’m really nervous and my palms were all sweaty now".

We arrived and could see the boy’s lines up waiting, Daniel and team looked good, Daniel scrubbed up well and even though looking terrified he looked very happy at the same time. The ladies took a bit of time to settle down and let the boys wait however a few moments later it was time, each bridesmaid walked down isle, one at a time their dresses just screaming look at me cause the colour and styling were sensational then the time had come. Ashleigh and her father Shane walked down the isle looking great and talking to each other as they headed towards Daniel.

Both Ashleigh and Daniel could not take their eyes off each other, everyone could see how devoted they were to each other and how much they looked forward to sharing each other’s company, they both looked comfortable and had a glow around them screaming
l o v e. The ceremony was lovely and allowed family and friends to be close to them during it.

The words they shared had depth and meaning and we were all so lucky to be allowed to share them. Once the service had finished the bride and Groom shared a kiss which was so wonderful to see, it was like no one was around and they thought this was a great time to lock lips and smile.

Congratulations!

The crowd was able to share some time with each other as the guests of honor needed to sign their Marriage Certificate.

At this stage it was a great time to catch up with Shane and Sandra (Ashleigh’s Dad & Mum) to congratulate them, then we headed over to catch up with our daughter to let her know that we thought she had done a great job helping the girls look good for the day. After a few photo’s we had a bit of a walk around to make sure the car was turned around and ready to head off when the bridal party were, however we did find out the boy’s came to the wedding in a Chev and I really needed to get some picture of this baby and Daniel must have had the same thoughts cause he also wanted to grab some professional photo’s while the car was still around.

Once the photographer had finished taking photo’s in and around Kings Park we then headed out to East Perth for some more photo’s. The area we stopped at in East Perth was beautiful the parks, water and general layout was a great sight and I’m sure the happy couple will be over the moon with the final photographs once done. What seem a short time later one of the bridesmaids returned to the car with a pair of shoes in hand saying they broke whilst walking through the park area and up and down some of the slopes. I later found out it was the Brides shoes and again I offered my phone so they could call Sandra to see if another pair of shoes could be arranged as Ashleigh still had the rest of the night a head of her however Ash had already decided this was a good time to let her poor foot relax a bit cause they were swollen and sore. Whilst the bridal party were off catching the light needed for some brilliant photo’s we noticed a lady had done a couple of trips to her car, we offered some help to reduce the trip count, it turns out she was a DJ for a function being held at the restaurant we were park in front of. We assisted and carried some of her equipment from her car to the elevators in side where the balance of gear was already laid out, once this had been done we then went through the inside of our Limousine to make sure the car was clean and the empty water bottles were cleared and then replaced with full ones for when the bridal party returned.

Daniel was really pumped for a drink at this stage and was almost running to the car leaving his wife Ashleigh, slightly behind in his wake.

Once this was completed it was time to head on over to the Burswood Gold Club Resort for the last of the photo sessions and our time to drop the wonderful couple off. We arrived to see Shane and Sandra waiting along with the resort staff ready to greet Ashleigh and Daniel, we Let them out and whilst the boys all took off in some golf buggies Ashleigh took some time out to stop and chat to Karen and I and pass thanks for a wonderful time and the professionalism shown, even though we were friends we still had an obligation to show the respect and service levels our business is known for.

Karen and I, wish both Ashleigh and Daniel all the love and happiness in the world, you guys deserve it and more.

I’ve sometimes joked with Ashleigh that she is my BFF, in truth she is, I have so much time and love for her and she has been a true friend for Emma and been there for her, and Daniel,,,, well where can I start? He is a wonderful and genuine gentleman, I hope that someday (long time from now) my daughter meets someone even as half as great as Daniel.

Karen and I enjoyed spending the day providing our time and service with you guys, we got to watch what a lot of your friends didn’t and we really, really do appreciate the chance to do that guys.

Thanks…………….

Ashleigh
